Yes, we offer free trials for evaluation and development, with usage limits. Please contact our team to request an API trial.
An API call occurs each time your application successfully requests data or performs a calculation using the Climatiq API. We don’t count unsuccessful requests or calls that result in an error message against your usage.
API pricing is typically based on data access and API call volume, depending on the plan.
Yes. Many customers use the API for automation and product integrations, while also using Data Studio for internal analysis and verification. Get in touch with us to discuss your needs for an enterprise plan.

Yes, EXIOBASE 3.11+ is available as a premium dataset, which can be added on top of a Data Pro subscription. A Data Pro subscription is required in order to purchase EXIOBASE 3.11+.
Yes, ecoinvent is available as a premium dataset, which can be added on top of an enterprise subscription. Please note that we only make ecoinvent available for calculations via our API or Add-Ins, so you need a subscription that covers access to these products.
Advanced filters let you narrow the emission factor you’re working with using detailed metadata fields — GHG scope, LCA stage, category, sector, and unit type. The feature is available on the Data Pro Plan and above.
Data Pro gives you full access to all Core emission factor datasets, as well as the option to purchase EXIOBASE 3.11+ from our premium datasets. A Data Pro or enterprise subscription is required in order to purchase premium datasets.
Data Pro includes a single user license. If you are interested in a commercial plan covering team- or org-wide access to Climatiq’s data and tools, please contact our sales team.
Climatiq emission factors come with normalized and enriched metadata covering their origin, methodology, and classification.
The Starter Plan includes limited metadata: source, dataset, year, and region.
Data Pro and Enterprise plans unlock the full set covering GHG scope, LCA stage, category, sector, and more. This data is key for ensuring you have auditable, fully documented emission factors for your reports.
We offer plans in EUR, GBP and USD. Please contact us and we'll set it up for you.
As a consultant looking to use Climatiq's data and tools for commercial use, you need to tick "I'm a consultant" before purchasing your Data Pro Plan. The standard Data Pro plan does not include commercial licensing rights.
If you're a consultant or software vendor interested in Excel or API use, please get in touch with us to discuss licensing and partnership options.
Emission factor exports let you download emission factors directly from Data Studio. You can search and filter for what you need, click "export", and you'll get a normalised CSV file with all the methodology details and metadata included. Emission factor exports are available on Data Pro or Enterprise plans.
